The Tsitre Tree Trail is a 1 km circular route that winds through the historic park of the former Tsitre summer manor. Along the trail, 29 information boards introduce the park’s trees and local stories, with QR codes providing details in English and Russian. The trail’s standout features include ancient pines and horse chestnut trees. On the seaside section of the trail, there is a viewing tower offering a scenic overlook of waterbirds resting in Kolga Bay.

RMK Majakivi-Pikanõmme Study Trail
The Majakivi-Pikanõmme Study Trail is a 7 km hiking path located in the western part of Lahemaa National Park. It starts from a parking area along the Hara-Juminda road. The loop-shaped trail includes 2 km of boardwalks and is marked with white-green trail signs on trees. The route offers a varied and unique landscape, where forests, bogs, coastal ridges, and sand dunes intertwine. One of the highlights of the trail is Majakivi (“House-sized Rock”), the third-largest Ice Age boulder in Estonia. There is also a viewing tower along the trail.

Kahala Lake
Kahala Lake, located in Lahemaa National Park, is about 5 km northeast of Kuusalu in Harju County. This round-shaped lake spans 346 hectares and has a maximum depth of 3 meters, making it one of the largest lakes in Lahemaa National Park. Sitting on a karst landscape, the lake has a rocky and uneven bottom. Due to its shallow, muddy nature, the water is rich in plankton, giving it a greenish-yellow hue with low visibility (0.9–1.2 meters). The lake is renowned for its diverse plant life, fish species, and bird populations, serving as a nesting site for various duck species and other waterfowl.

Hundikangrud - stone cemetery
Hundikangrud is Estonia’s largest group of stone-cist graves, located on the northern shore of Kahala Lake. This burial site consists of around 85 ancient graves spread across a limestone plateau. The graves date back to the Bronze Age and the Roman Iron Age, more than 2,000 years ago. The densest section, known as Hundikangrud, features stone-cist graves that were part of Scandinavian burial traditions.

Muuksi Stronghold Hill
Muuksi Stronghold Hill is located on a high cape, with its western side rising 10 meters above the surrounding landscape. The fort was originally built as a coastal watchtower and stronghold, providing natural protection along with stone walls. On the northern side, the fort is bordered by a steep limestone cliff, while the southern side is protected by a curved stone wall. Archaeological finds suggest the area was inhabited as early as 1000 BCE, with the fortress built at the end of the prehistoric era and used until the 13th century.
